Beware of emails purporting to offer you a job!
Nigerian scams are usual easy to spot. There is a generic email currently doing the rounds purporting to offer a job from either a John Wood, Michael Grifford or Michael Pollard (the names change from time to time). Unfortunately these scammers have stuck the ArtGraphica domain name in one of their template emails. If you happen to receive such an email please disregard it at once, and do not respond. All details in the email are completely bogus and have no connection whatsoever with this website, which is based in Paris, not London for starters.
Convoluted frivolities and terrible grammar are usually good indicators of a scam, and if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I’d be more than happy on their $1200 a week myself …And really, who signs off an email with ‘We wish you good luck and happiness. Friendly Regards’?
If you receive such an email, please either delete it at once, or forward it on to your local law enforcement agency.
Update: 27th February 2010… Unfortunately the scammers have started up their campaign again, and are using different names. Michael Clarkin seems to be the latest name adopted, so if you receive an email offering a job with ArtGraphica, please follow the advice above.

I dont know how they got my email address so fast!! …i have only just signed up to hotmail 2 days ago!! and only sent emails out to 2 people both employers, asking them for a job.
and the subject of Michael Callahans email was “JOB OFFER…. and the pay is good”
is this a coincidence? or are they monitoring my outgoing emails??
My wife got an email from Michael Clarkin. I told her from the beginning that it is a scam. Unfortunately, she is bipolar and currently on the manic side, so she believes everything except what I tell her. The email address “Michael” gave was mcck1770@live.com. The address is:

I used to live in Denmark Hill to the south of London, and I don’t think there is a town called South London.
I sent her 3 links telling her about the scam and she forwarded them to the scammer telling him that somebody is using his company to raise money illegally. I am now going to get a divorce.
Here is another one for you

Zarathustra, unfortunately the scammers are still using your website in their emails. I received one today (3/25/2010) and they got my name and email address from Monster.com (the email actually states that it was Monster.co.uk that forwarded my name and email address to ArtGraphicA). I do have my resume posted on Monster.Com which made me think that the email might be somewhat legit, which is why I investigated it. I went to Google and typed in ArtGraphicA and was taken to the AFI website where I found your post. You have my sympathy.
I got the same thing with the exact email as you
I got the email from Michael Callahan. thanks for the warning!
I got the same email today as well from “Michael Callahan” print@s-printcanvas.co.uk
and they posted the link to this website stating they are offering jobs here.
